VanceTel terms of service.
These terms govern your use of VanceTel — the softphone, the REST API, webhooks, deep links and the MCP server. By using the service you agree to them.
How the platform may be used.
You may use VanceTel for lawful business communications. The following are not allowed and may lead to suspension.
- No unsolicited or unlawful messages, spam, or content you lack consent to send.
- No fraud, phishing, harassment, or impersonation of a person or business.
- No attempts to bypass rate limits, probe security, or disrupt the service.
- No use that violates carrier rules, telecom regulations, or applicable law.
TCPA, A2P 10DLC and opt-out.
Programmable messaging carries legal obligations. VanceTel builds the controls in, but you remain the sender of record for what you originate.
TCPA
You must have the consent the TCPA requires before contacting a recipient, and you must honor opt-outs. STOP, START and HELP keywords are intercepted and enforced automatically.
A2P 10DLC
Application-to-person traffic must run on numbers registered for A2P 10DLC. We handle the brand and campaign registration plumbing; you keep your registration details accurate.
Opt-out handling
A message to an opted-out recipient is rejected before it sends. You must not attempt to circumvent opt-out, suppression, or consent controls.
What you are responsible for.
You are responsible for your account, your credentials and the traffic you send through VanceTel.
Credentials
Keep API keys and account credentials secret. You are responsible for activity under your account, including calls and messages your software sends.
Consent records
Obtain and keep records of recipient consent before messaging. You are the sender of record for the traffic you originate through the platform.
Accurate registration
Provide accurate business and brand information for A2P 10DLC registration and keep it current, so your numbers stay carrier-compliant.
Lawful content
Ensure the content you send and the use cases you run comply with the law in every jurisdiction you reach.
Uptime and service levels.
We work to keep VanceTel available and performant, and we maintain the service through scheduled maintenance and ongoing improvements. The standard service is provided on an as-available basis. A formal service level agreement — with uptime commitments and remedies — is available on Enterprise plans as part of your agreement.
Limits on liability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VanceTel is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the period giving rise to the claim. The service is provided without warranties except those that cannot be excluded by law. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Suspension and termination.
You may stop using VanceTel and close your account at any time, subject to your plan. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, the acceptable use rules, carrier requirements or the law, or to protect the platform and other customers. Where practical we provide notice and an opportunity to cure. On termination, your right to use the service ends and we handle remaining data per the privacy policy.
Changes to these terms.
We may update these terms as VanceTel and the law evolve. The current version is always posted here with a Last updated date, and we notify you of material changes. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Is there an SLA?
A service level agreement is available on Enterprise plans. It defines uptime commitments and remedies, and is provided as part of your Enterprise agreement. Contact sales to review the VanceTel SLA terms for your account.
Who is responsible for messaging compliance?
You are the sender of record for the traffic you originate. VanceTel provides automatic opt-out handling (STOP, START, HELP) and the A2P 10DLC registration plumbing, but you must obtain recipient consent, keep your registration accurate, and follow the TCPA and applicable law.
Can you suspend or terminate my account?
Yes. VanceTel may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, the acceptable use rules, carrier requirements, or the law — and to protect the platform or other customers. Where practical we give notice and a chance to cure. You can also terminate at any time, subject to your plan.
How do these terms change?
We may update these terms as the service and the law evolve. We post the current version here with a Last updated date and notify you of material changes. Continuing to use VanceTel after a change means you accept the updated terms.
