How does click-to-call work?
A link or button carries a target phone number. When someone clicks it, the device hands that number to a calling app, which opens with the recipient ready to dial. There is no manual entry, so there is no transposed digit and no copy-paste.

Can deep links pre-fill a text too?
Yes — a deep link can open a pre-addressed text, so the softphone opens with the recipient set and ready. It can also pre-fill a draft message via an optional body parameter, but that draft opens in the composer and is never auto-sent: a person reviews and taps Send.
