VanceTel Business Phone is a cloud calling platform for California small businesses — desk phones, a softphone for Mac and Windows, native iOS with CallKit, native Android, and a web app under one per-seat license. A Shared inbox for SMS sits next to calling, and it Works on every device a user signs into.
What ships in the box
Works on every device
Native iOS with CallKit and PushKit so incoming calls show on the lock screen like a regular phone call. Native Android with FCM push. Electron softphones for Mac and Windows with system-level audio. Web app for any browser. Yealink desk phones for permanent stations. Same login, same extension, same number across every device.
Shared inbox for business SMS
Inbound text messages to the business number land in a Shared inbox the whole team can read, assign, tag, and reply from — no more conversations stranded on a former employee's personal phone. STOP, START, and HELP keyword handling for TCPA compliance is automatic, and templates with variable substitution speed up repeat replies.
BLF presence and programmable buttons
Every Yealink handset can render BLF status, park slots, paging zones, speed dials, conference rooms, and feature codes on programmable side buttons. The front desk sees who is on a call before transferring; field staff press one button to park, page, or pick up a parked call from the other side of the office.
Voicemail-to-email and call recording
Voicemails arrive as MP3 attachments in email and as transcribed text inside the conversation thread for the caller. Call recording is configurable per extension and per direction, retained per the customer policy, and downloadable from the admin console for compliance archives.
Hot desking, ring groups, hunt sequences, auto-attendant
Hot-desk a desk phone with a 4-digit code so shared workstations adopt the right extension. Ring groups, hunt sequences, after-hours schedules, paging zones, hold music, call queues, and a custom-prompt auto-attendant all configure in the admin console — no provisioning ticket.
9-character verbal setup codes
New users self-provision with a 9-character code (format XXX-XXX-XXX) we email or text. They type the code, pick a password, and the app provisions with their extension and shared resources automatically. No admin console seat-by-seat configuration, no IT helpdesk ticket — an SMB owner can add a hire in two minutes.
One business number across every device a user signs into
VanceTel Business Phone gives every user one extension that rings on desk phones, the iOS app with CallKit, Android, native Mac and Windows softphones, and the browser web app at the same time. Whichever device the user answers wins, and presence and call history sync in real time across all of them.
Most cloud phone vendors ship a license, a download link, and a credit-card form. VanceTel ships the same license plus an on-site install — a Local Orange County team configures every extension on every device, ports the existing numbers, programs the BLF and park-slot buttons on each Yealink handset, and trains the front desk before leaving. Calls, voicemail-to-email, hot desking, call recording, ring groups, paging zones, auto-attendant, hold music, call queues, and a Shared inbox for business SMS all run under one per-seat license. Works on every device — desk phone, Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, and the web. The whole stack — extensions, handsets, and porting — lights up on the same install day.
BLF presence and programmable buttons that mirror your real workflow
Every Yealink handset can render BLF (Busy Lamp Field) presence, park slots, paging zones, speed dials, conference rooms, and feature codes on programmable side buttons. The front desk sees who is on a call before transferring; a field tech presses one button to park, page, or pick up. Native iOS CallKit means incoming business calls show on the lock screen exactly like a regular call — answer from CarPlay, AirPods, or the watch. See the full [VoIP service](/services/phone) for a hardware-led deployment or the [VoIP platform](/services/business-voip) for the all-channels picture.
Self-provisioning via 9-character verbal setup codes
Adding a hire is a two-minute job, not an IT ticket. We generate a 9-character code in the format XXX-XXX-XXX and send it by email or SMS. The new user opens the VanceTel app, types the code, sets a password, and the device provisions with their extension, contacts, shared resources, and message templates automatically. No admin console seat-by-seat setup needed, no separate MFA enrollment step. The same model works for replacing a stolen phone — generate a new code, the old token revokes, the new device picks up the extension exactly where the last one left off.
Uptime we can actually defend
VanceTel has held 100% uptime over the last 24 months across the SMB book — measured by per-tenant SIP registration heartbeats and platform-side websocket monitoring, reported quarterly, methodology published in the customer portal. The number is achievable because the calling stack is multi-region with active SIP failover and because a Local Orange County team can be on-site for the rare hardware incident. The [contact form](/contact) is the fastest way to start a deployment conversation.
